CHIP OR DALE?Published on May 12, 2014
This event was a couple of days ago, but I have been out-of-town.
My two-year-old granddaughter Emma is always asking after the old Disney Chip & Dale cartoons, so she would have loved to see this!
I know… this photo is perhaps too cutesy, but it happens. This little guy poked his head out of a hole to see who was there and it was me. He is used to having big deer walk around where he lives, so I must have appeared as just another big something or other.
He was not afraid of me either, because out he came and proceeded to spend some time watching me fumble around with my tripod while setting up the shot. I have no idea what he was doing down in that hole beneath an old stump, probably just some general housekeeping, because he had some dirt crumbs on his face. Seeing this little critter was way better than poking a stick in my eye, which had happened only minutes before, so he cheered up my day, for sure.
